This automatic door system uses solar power to manage the entry and exit of poultry. It features both a timer and a light sensor, giving owners multiple options for scheduling when the door opens and closes. This automation helps protect the flock from nocturnal predators by ensuring the coop is locked at night.
The unit is designed for outdoor use and can be installed on various types of wooden or metal coops. The solar panel charges an internal battery, reducing the need for manual battery changes or proximity to a power outlet. The control panel is weather-resistant and easy to program for daily operation.
Safety features are integrated to prevent the door from closing if an animal is in the way. This ensures the birds are not harmed during the automated cycle. By automating the morning and evening routine, this device provides convenience for the owner and a consistent schedule for the chickens.
